The buses with participants will leave from Bratislava to Smolenice in the morning of May 2nd, 2021 at 09.30 am. For those unable to arrive in Bratislava on the morning of the May 2nd prior to the bus departure, accommodation will be available in a hotel in Bratislava for the night of the 1st May. More details on the hotel will be posted shortly.

Smolenice Castle is located 60 kilometers from Bratislava, which is just 90 kilometers from Vienna, Austria and contains a large international airport serving a wide range of international destinations for those arriving by air. There is a frequent bus services from Vienna Airport to Bratislava (provided by Flixbus and Slovak Lines).  Bratislava also has a small airport serving a number of European destinations.

Registration in Smolenice Castle will start at 10.30 am on Sunday, May 2, 2021. The workshop will end on Thursday, May 6, 2021 after breakfast. The planned departure from Smolenice Castle to Bratislava is at 10.00 am.

On the first day of the workshop, May 2nd, there will be a Welcome Party with an opportunity to visit the castle wine degustation to taste local wines. During the free day on May 4 (Tuesday), two alternative programs (for free) have been prepared:
1. Trip to the Small Carpathians Mountains with the possibility to visit Molpir (Celtic settlement, 6th century BC);
2. Visit of the Driny Stalactite Cave.

There is a free internet connection in the castle via Wifi (2.4 Ghz).


Accommodation

Event participants will stay at Smolenice Castle, the workshop venue.

The Congress Center at Smolenice Castle is owned and maintained by the Slovak Academy of Sciences, and  accommodation and meals are included in the registration. Housing is accommodated in single and double rooms, as well as apartments.
